Bronx-based artist Wendy Yang Bailey has designed and built costumes for productions including Off-Broadway theatre, Haunted Houses, films, commercials, and music videos. Her work has been seen on the cover of XLR8R Magazine, in The New York Times, Teen Vogue, Lucky Magazine, on the Today Show and The View. She has collaborated with creative professionals on a range of projects from tiny Brooklyn blackboxes to blockbuster film sets.
Wendy combined her interest in design and entrepreneurship to conceive of a variety of creative spaces with different artistic directions- Maiden Hong Kong, an atelier and boutique selling custom-fit vintage clothes and new designs; Amity & Bailey Trading Co, a vintage and modern clothing and music exchange store; and Red Humor Salon, a multipurpose performing and visual arts gallery space. Wendy is co-founder of Epic Adventures Languages, and co-author of The Epic Adventures of Princess Moonface.
She is currently Assistant Costume Designer to Amy Westcott on the new Netflix series The OA, starring Brit Marling, Jason Issacs, and directed by Zal Batmanlij.
